eCare at the European Week of Active and Healthy Ageing 2022 in Poland

Last week we participated in a workshop under the topic “The benefits and challenges that ICT-supported solutions bring to overcome the challenges of an ageing society”, during the European Week of Active and Healthy Ageing that took place in Gdansk, Poland. During the workshop, eCare PCP, HSMonitor PCP, ROSIA PCP, and INCAREHEART had a great discussion in which the 4 PCPs shared their experiences with procurement projects and how these initiatives play an important role in the development of innovative solutions for the benefit of old adults.

The workshop, moderated by Myriam Martín Delgado from Ticbiomed started with the presentation of Adriano Fernandes, representing the eCare Project, and our experience during the implementation of this PCP. After the session, Adriano shared the main benefits that procurers have when participating in PCPs.

PCP is key for procurers organizations to:

  • Get involved in the definition of what is needed moving from a technology-push approach to a demand-driven one.
  • Put in place a change management process
  • Consider social inclusion in the decision-making process

Thank you, Alberto, Adriano, Diana, and Marta for your participation. Your involvement as leading partners of procurement organizations in the process was really valuable!
